Current Studies (2010)
Did you know that SMMC offers participation in Research studies? We're recruiting patients with certain conditions for special studies:

• Atrial Fibrillation
  If you have atrial fibrillation, you may qualify.
• Congestive Heart Failure
  If you have CHF and are taking medications to treat it, you may qualify.
• COPD (chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema)
  If you have a chronic cough are a current or ex-smoker, you may qualify.
• Diabetes
  If you are a diabetic and are having trouble controlling your blood sugar, you may qualify.
• Diabetes #2
  If you have diabetes and also were hospitalized for chest pain in the last 60 days, you may qualify
• DVT / PE
  If you had a deep venous thrombosis (blood clot in your leg) or a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in your lung) and have been taking Coumadin (warfarin) for 6 to 18 months, you may qualify.
• Gout
  If you have gout, you may qualify.
• Migraine Headaches
  If you have headaches around your menstruation, you may qualify.
• Multiple Sclerosis
  If you have MS and are not currently taking Betaseron, Avonex, Copaxone, Tysabri, or Rebif, you may qualify.
• Osteoporosis
  If you are a woman age 45-85 taking Fosamax, you may qualify.
